I love Provo. Provo has shaped me and guided me.
We all have chosen to live here because of the high quality of life. As Provo grows we need to keep the charm that has made it the best place to live, work, and play.
Having lived in various neighborhoods, I recognize that each neighborhood is unique and each neighborhood has its own concerns. I pledge to listen to every neighborhood in Provo.
Working for You. Working for Provo.
Neighborhoods
Having lived in a variety of neighborhoods in Provo, I recognize that each neighborhood is unique and each neighborhood has its own concerns and as a city our zoning should reflect this.
As projects, changes, and other items are brought forward, I pledge to listen to every neighborhood in Provo.
Fiscal Management

I understand that every penny spent by the city is a penny that came from taxpayers. The city should do everything possible to avoid a tax increase. We should make sure we are spending money wisely and maintaining our excellent bond rating. Keeping tax rates low and still providing the excellent service that our residents expect takes vision and planning. My goal is to make sure we look at our budget more longterm so we don’t burden future generations with unnecessary expenses.
Economic Development

Provo needs to compete with our neighboring cities to attract a good mix of retail and other businesses. By having a business friendly attitude we can attract good paying jobs and the type of commercial businesses our residents desire so the Whole Foods and Apple Stores of the world come to Provo instead of Orem.
Public Safety

Our public safety employees are the heroes of our community. Our police are kind and respectful while doing their jobs and the firefighters proactively work to prevent massive wildfires in our backyard. Our continued priority needs to be retaining and attracting good public safety employees
Parks and Open Space

I love living in Provo because we have great assets in our parks, extensive trail systems, mountain passes, waterfalls and other open spaces-and we want more! My family enjoys visiting our parks and walking along the Provo River-which is one of our most underutilized assets. Together we need to work to keep our parks and natural resources beautiful.
I’m grateful for the work of the volunteers who recently spent time cleaning Slate Canyon, it was a joy for me to spend time with them to preserve and protect that jewel.
Provo App
Provo should invest in an app for residents to know what’s happening in the city.
Sandy City has already utilized this where residents can report potholes, street lights that are out, issues at parks, and other items the city needs to be aware of.
This app can also push out important notifications to residents – such as street closures for events like the marathon.
When I met with BYU students they wanted to know more about city events and how they could feel a sense of community. A calendar on an app allows everyone to know of events and how to participate in Provo.
